It is a very easy and a short way to know how much carbon is consumed per year. This calculator can help us realise the amount of carbon produced by us in our daily course of life. My result of carbon footprint calculator has come out to be 5.20 tonnes. I think that it is more than required and i realised that because of this calculator. I really had no idea about it before .
This is a great way to find out the carbon released by us in our lives . It gives you a lot of knowledge. I personally think that the girls in U.S.A who are a part of this wise should also try out calculating because it is the need of the hour for all of us to know the amount of carbon released by us.
After we have calculated the carbon produced by us , we can take the necessary measures and precautions to reduce its consumption. As you can see my result is more than required as the per capita rate of India is 1.1 tonnes and U.S.A is the highest consumer of carbon so i suppose even you would have to take measures to reduce the consumption of carbon. It will help us all in a good way. We are not only doing this for us but for all the people in the world and to have a bright future.
Steps like using electricity when needed only and not wasting it unnecessarily, using public transport and avoiding pollution and emition of smoke. We can also adopt a proper way of recycling waste. In this way we can controll the production of carbon in a great way.
